I asked Jesus to be my savior at the age of 8 years old. I grew up in a Christian home, but my relationship with Jesus changed as I married and had kids of my own. Steven and I married in January 1999, and in December God blessed us with our oldest son Tyler. Then in August of 2001 we were blessed with another son, Seth .
After earning his Associates in Arts in 2018, and graduating from UNCC in December 2021 with a Political Science degree, Tyler is now seeking God's will for his future. Seth, received his Associates in Arts in 2019, and is now attending Redemption to the Nations School of Ministry.
In 2015, I felt a longing for something deeper. It so happened we found out about a conference taking place in Independence Kentucky and decided to give it a go. Little did I know this conference would change my life, and set me on the path to where I now am. The atmosphere at this conference was unlike anything I had ever experienced. I witnessed women weeping on the altar. I saw women around me worship with a pure raw hunger for God. There was an expectancy in the air that God was going to do something. And that is exactly what happened. I watched as women left that conference different than the way they came. Chains were broken. Restoration and healing took place, and so much more. At that conference a fire started inside of me, and it is one that I never want to let go out.
In April of the following year, I heard that the same church was hosting another conference, and I knew I had to attend. This was my very first Empowering Women’s conference. At that conference, I experienced much of the same things, a deep hunger for God was in the atmosphere. At this conference, I also made some God connections. I met sisters who will forever be my best friends. With these wonderful new friends, I felt compelled to be a part, and the tug of the Holy Spirit to link arms with these women.
In 2017, God opened the door for me to step into a position of leadership in the women’s ministry of my home church. In this time, I began hosting an annual women’s conference in our hometown of Hendersonville NC. Over these past few years, God has done some amazing things.
In 2018 I was called out of my comfort zone as God directed me to begin ministering. I was ordained in 2018, and God has opened many doors for me to minister. In 2020, I received my Exhorter's License with the Church of God. I am excited to see the next steps as God allows me to travel and minister.
Steven and I are so thankful for all God has done, and our continued desire is to work in His kingdom, serving as He opens doors and allows us to be His hands and feet. I desire to follow the calling God had placed on my life by sharing the Gospel of Christ. I am available to speak at Tent Meetings, women's conferences or church services, and wherever God sees fit to open the door.
